Stoneferry Primary PTA

Stoneferry Primary PTA is a group of parents, teachers and school staff who work together to fundraise for money through fun activities and events that bring together the communities of both Stoneferry Primary School and the local area.

Parents/Carers, Teachers and School staff are members of the PTA. Committee members with the help of members run activities and events to raise money for the school.

The PTA organises a range of fun activities and events bringing children and families together from across the community.

Events include:

  • School Discos or DVD nights

  • Christmas Fair

  • Summer Fair

  • Stoneferry Scarecrow Festival

Through funds raised the PTA have paid for:

  • All year groups to visit the theatre at Christmas

We also hold regular meetings to discuss and organise the above activities and events.

The PTA Committee

The PTA consists of a Committee of people (parents and some school staff) who seek ideas for fundraising activities and events, attend meetings, talk to parents/carers about these activities and events, organise and run these activities and events.

The Chair, Secretary and Treasurer of the PTA are members of the Committee. They are usually elected or selected at the last Annual General Meeting.

Who can be part of the PTA?

  • As a parent of a child at Stonerferry Primary School, you are automatically a member of the Stoneferry PTA and you are welcome to attend all PTA meetings.
  • You are entitled to vote at the AGM, select people for the Committee or become involved in the Committee yourself.
  • Teachers and school staff can also join the PTA to help fundraise for the schools.
